Welcome to Profit Prophet ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the Profit Prophet mobile application (the "App"), the website profitprophet.co.uk, and associated services.

By using Profit Prophet, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

Core App Functionality: Product identification via AI, eBay market analysis and pricing, AI-powered listing generation and chat, inventory management and profit tracking, condition assessment.

Service Improvement: Understanding user interactions, fixing bugs, developing new features, improving AI accuracy, optimising performance.

Account Management: Authentication, subscription management via RevenueCat, daily usage limits, service communications.

3. Hive Mind (Opt-In Community Data)

If you opt in to the Hive Mind community feature, your scan results (item identifications and prices) are shared with other users to improve pricing accuracy. This is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in Settings. No personal information is shared — only item data. You earn points for contributions which can unlock cosmetics within the app.

4. Advertising and Tracking

For free-tier users, we display advertisements via Google AdMob. On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before any tracking-related data is collected. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings. Pro and Pro Lite subscribers do not see ads.

5. Third-Party Services

We do NOT: Sell your personal information to third parties, share your inventory data with other users (unless you opt into Hive Mind), use your data for advertising purposes beyond AdMob, or provide your contact information to marketers.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Cloud Platform (europe-west2, United Kingdom). Data may also be processed in other Google Cloud regions.

Security measures include: encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Firebase, password encryption, access controls, and secure API endpoints.

Profit Prophet operates in multiple countries including the UK, US, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Canada. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we comply with GDPR requirements and use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

To exercise any of these rights, email profitprophetapp@gmail.com. We will respond within 7 days. Account deletion removes all personal data within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Profit Prophet is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We comply with COPPA and do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies. The website uses minimal local session data. We may use session tokens (to keep you logged in), local storage (to cache data and improve performance), and anonymised analytics.

11. GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including: legal basis for processing (contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent), and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Referral / Ambassador Programme

If you participate in our Ambassador Programme, we track referral code usage (signups and subscription conversions) to calculate revenue share payments. No personal data of referred users is shared with ambassadors — only aggregate counts and revenue figures.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
