Is there really a forever-free tier?

Yes. Free means free — no credit card, no trial expiry, no bait-and-switch. You get 3 scans per day (plus 9 ad-rewarded bonus), 1 daily eBay listing, 3 inventory slots, and full access to the AI Mentor's free prompts. Most casual users never need to upgrade.

What happens when my 3-day trial ends?

On the third day of your trial you'll be charged automatically unless you cancel. To cancel, go to your App Store or Play Store subscriptions, find Profit Prophet, and tap Cancel. You'll keep trial-tier access until the 3-day period ends.

Can I switch between tiers?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Upgrade takes effect immediately. Downgrade happens at the end of your current billing period. Annual plans can be upgraded mid-term with the unused portion pro-rated.

How does the annual discount work?

Annual billing gives you 2 months free — Pro £109.99/year (vs £131.88 if monthly), Pro Lite £69.99/year (vs £83.88 if monthly). Exact savings around 17% for both. Paid upfront via App Store / Play Store.

Is there a student / first-year discount?

Not currently. We priced Pro Lite specifically for people just starting out — £6.99/month is cheaper than most phone data plans and typically pays for itself on a single flip. The forever-free tier also exists so you can test-drive the concept risk-free.

Will I be charged VAT or sales tax?

Prices shown include UK VAT. For international users, tax is added at checkout by Apple or Google based on your region. Receipts come from Apple/Google, not from us.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google since they process the billing. Apple: request a refund via reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: via your Play Store subscriptions. Both typically process within 48 hours. We recommend using the 3-day trial before committing.

Do I need Pro to win prize competitions?

No. Every tier — including free — can earn Hive Points and enter competitions. Pro tiers earn points slightly faster because of unlimited scanning, but free users regularly win competitions too.

Can I pay monthly if I want to, not annually?

Yes, both Pro and Pro Lite have monthly billing. Annual just saves you roughly 17%. No commitment either way.
